Golf swings back-to-back tournament wins

The ULM men’s golf team rallied last week to capture their second straight tournament victory in Cypresswood, Texas.

Red shirt junior Hogan Arey led the Warhawks, shooting three under par to bring everyone back in the tournament. Arey has now had a top six finish in his last five events he has competed in for the Warhawks.

Head golf coach Tim Baldwin expanded on Arey’s play after the tournament and how he can help others excel their game.

“Hogan played extremely well with eight birdies today while everyone contributed to the cause, especially in the last three or four holes,” coach Baldwin said. “Being able to come from behind is huge.”

Other notable performances by ULM included Thibault Santigny and Joao Girao who both picked up birdies to help out in the Warhawks’ comeback

The Warhawks will now head to Laredo, Texas, for the Border Olympics on March 10. For more coverage of the ULM golf program visit ulmhawkeyeonline.com
