Medical incident reported in Walker

A student complained of dizziness and passed out during class, causing a medical incident to be reported Monday morning in Walker Hall.

According to Assistant Police Chief Mark Johnson, a ULMPD first responder said a patient was in need and the officer called the Monroe Fire Department.

Firemen at the Monroe Fire Department are trained paramedics.

The student gained consciousness by the time firefighters came to the scene. Johnson said they examined the student and the student was fine. The student refused treatment.
