A concert with broad appeal to audiences around the world will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Feb. 11, in Brown Auditorium. This concert combines Bayou Masterworks Chorale (formerly Monroe Symphony Chorus) with the ULM Concert Choir and invited guests from the Mississippi State University Chamber Choir.
The headliner for this special event, Dr. Andre Thomas, is the composer and conductor of the choir and orchestra which will perform selected spiritual arrangements and compositions rooted in the African American Culture.
The evening will conclude with his recently premiered composition Mass: A Celebration of Love and Joy, which combines text from the traditional mass with music and text from the gospel style. This event is free to the public.
