Homecoming 2010 is finally here and in full swing.
The week is jammed packed with several different events and with plenty of activites for everyone to participate in.
At the beginning of the week, the Campus Activity Board is sponsoring Promo Day, which will happen all over ULM’s campus. This event is to get students excited to and get involved.
The fun continues on day two as the homcoming court is presented in front of the SUB, followed by the much anticipated Miss(ter) Troy pageant.
The reigning Miss(ter) winner Brent “Eileen ULick” Gibert is preparing to give up his title.
“I am much more experienced now. I have learned a lot about being a woman, and would like to tell the next queen to stock up on lip gloss,” Gibert said.
“This past year as Miss(ter) FIU has delivered the greatest experience of my life.”
On Wednesday, the Univeristy Mile will take place, as students make their way through campus either running or walking.
There’s also going to be a Halloween Costume Ball in Brown Gym, where students will be able to dress up.
Freshman Pre-Pharmacy major Kierstyn Cyrus is excited to go to the Ball.
“The Drive in Movie and Costume Ball sounds fun; I’m really excited because it’s my first college homecoming,” said Cyrus.
Spirit day will round out the week. Students are encouraged to wear anything and everything maroon and gold.
However, the biggest event of the week will be on Saturday, as our Warhawks will take on Troy University.
Freshman undeclared major Jeff Charles is ready to cheer the Warhawk to a victory.
“I think it will be a good game; Troy’s a good team and ULM has been improving, it should be fun to watch.”
