“Our first stop is the graveyard…” With this casual introduction, the tour of the haunted SUB ballrooms began. The event was by Greek life on campus.
Students from each Greek organization contributed, creating scenery and costumes. CAB offered extra funding to the first-time event.
Spooky music and eerie screams leaked into halls as a line of thrill-seekers awaited their turn. Guests had to make it through a land of nightmares, past institutionalized cannibals and mass murderers.
“That was completely unexpected, and for someone that’s not used to being scared, that was terrifying,” said Atiel Eisler, a sophomore toxicology major from Calhoun after emerging from the haunted house.
Stormy Knight, a junior biology major from Monroe, is a more experienced judge of haunted houses. “I’d definitely like to see it again.”
