The ULM Warhawks women’s basketball team (1-0 in exhibitions) dominated over the Lady Reddings of Henderson State (1-2 in exhibitions) by a score of 87-73. The game, which was an exhibition game, was free to attend to all fans, and a canned food drive was also held at the door.
After getting the tip-off, ULM ran out to a 21-6 lead before the game became closer, with Henderson State closing the gap to six, finishing the first half with a score of 45-33.
The Warhawks opened up the second half of play with a slower, yet dominant pace. Led by junior center Larrie Williams, the Warhawks scored 42 points in the second half en route to the victory. The game is also unique in that every single player for ULM scored at least two points, with Williams scoring the most (19), followed by Kassie Courtney (14). The Warhawks will host UNO in the Fant-Ewing coliseum for the first official game of the season, free to students with a valid ULM ID.
