FANT-EWING COLISEUM – The ULM Warhawks’ mens basketball team (1-2, 0-0 Sun Belt) dominate over SE Oklahoma (1-1, 0-0 Lone Star) by a score of 70-59.
After getting to a 24-9 lead, SOSU then came back to pull the game within 5. The Warhawks were led in the first half by junior Fred Brown, with three field goals, 8 total points, and two three-point shots.
Halftime entertainment consisted of a performance by the ULM Hawkline and also, as a special guest, the Ouachita High School cheerleading squad.
The first part of the second half was dominated by the Savage Storm to become a SOSU lead of 7 points; however, the Warhawks came back to bring the lead to 8 points. The final minutes were dominated by the Warhawks and Brown, who scored 21 total points on the night, followed by senior Lawrence Gilbert, who had 14 points and 4 field goals
The Warhawks will come back to Fant-Ewing to play Stephen F. Austin on Tuesday night.
