As a part of campus’ weeklong homecoming celebration, the Campus Activities Board brought in a huge zip line that was set up in Bayou Park on Wednesday.
A steady line of students took turns zipping through the air from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Sophomore pre-nursing major and CAB member Amber Crawford said this is the first zip line ULM has had for homecoming week.
“We thought it would be something different that they haven’t brought here before,” Crawford said.
There were safety precautions, such as signing a waiver that students had to take care of before they could zip off down Bayou Park.
Freshman pre-nursing major Abigail Gissendanner said, “they made sure I was strapped in really safely, and [told] me if I had to hold on to something to hold on to a certain part of the harness.”
Gissendanner said the zip-line added a lot to her first homecoming experience, and that she had way more fun with it than she thought she would.
