The cool homecoming breeze hit Bayou Park with an inflatable boxing match, dunk tank, dummy football and a fancy sword war. The ‘Battle on the Bayou was put on by the Campus Activities Board (CAB) which claimed them to be ‘extreme fun challenges’.
The participants knocked each other down with the huge boxing gloves in the inflatable boxing match and ran through inflatables trying to catch the ball in the dummy football.
The ‘Dunk Tank’ was the showstopper where the participants would get three chances to hit the buzzer and drown a CAB officer in the water tank.
Jessica Moore took her chance to drown CAB vice president Timothy Perkins in the ‘Dunk Tank’.
“It got me more excited that I got to drown Tim two times”
Moore, a junior Risk Management and Insurance major likes to see everyone dressed up and happy during homecoming.
She extended that she appreciates that CAB comes up with free events for the students.
“It’s a great way to get the students who live on campus out and especially for free food because we are all broke”.
Moore further stated such games relax the students.
Edward Raimundi, junior Kinesiology major and CAB member said that the main objective of the event was to get the students out of their ‘midterm schedule’ and have fun through friendly competition.
