The men and women’s cross-country team competed at the Sun Belt championships on Saturday in Dothan, Alabama, where the women’s team placed 11th and the men came in ninth.
The best finish for the women’s 5K came from Edith Jebet who finished 27th overall and paced the Warhawks with a time of 19:35.
In the men’s 8k race, Elias Keter finished with the best time for the Warhawks at 25:04. Keter was less than a minute behind the Sun Belt champion, which put him at sixth overall in the race.
Keter’s strong finish to the season earned him second-team All-Sun Belt Conference honors.
Other notable performances came from senior Jonathon Je coat who finished with a time of 28:05 in his last career race for ULM.
The Sun Belt conference championships concluded the season for both cross-country teams. Now some members will turn their focus to distance events in track and eld this spring.
