FANT-EWING COLISEUM – After two Grambling Lady Tigers scored 20 points a piece, and a Warhawk scored her first home double-double of the season, the Warhawks (4-3, 2-1 at home) fell 61-66 to the visiting Grambling Lady Tigers (3-4, 1-4 on the road).
The Warhawks were coming off of a 1-1 performance in the New Mexico State Tournament, and the Lady Tigers were coming off of a 2-0 domination in the Xavier University Bayou Classic, in New Orleans.
Scoring first was ULM, with a field goal by Sannisha Williams to put the Warhawks up 2-0. The game has been close though, with the score never deviating far from 3 points.
Leading the Warhawks in the first half is Priscilla Mbiandja, with 10 points, 2 field goals, 3 free throws, and a three point shot. Leading for Grambling is Breanna Johnson, with 14 points, 3 field goals, 2 three point shots, and two free throws.
Finishing the game with a double-double on the game was Larrie Williams with the Warhawks, who had 11 rebounds and 14 total points. The Warhawks kept a close game, letting the lead max out to 6 points, ending the game with a 5-point spread of 61-66.
