4 easy meals to make in your dorm room

French Toast

Coming in at number one, because breakfast is the most important meal of the day, is French toast. Don’t settle for the sticks that come out of a box. Make the toast with bread of your choice, an egg, cinnamon, brown sugar, and a little butter. Top it off with syrup and maybe some powdered sugar for that sweet taste. Wash it down with some orange juice or a cup of hot coffee, and you can have a breakfast favorite right in your twin bed.

Sandwiches

Next is a lunch that can be just as versatile as your busy schedule—sandwiches. These quick fixes have a wide range of endless possibilities. Some people even put chips on their sandwiches, but that’s another conversation. Choose your meat and pair with buttered and toasted bread. Toppings can include lettuce, tomatoes, cheese and your preferable condiment. Now you’ve got a dorm-made Subway sandwich.

Walking Taco

In the mood for something somewhat healthy? What about a taco-in-a-bag? All you need is a bag of Doritos, hamburger meat and taco seasoning from your local grocery store. You can pick your choice of lettuce, tomato, sour cream, cheese or any other  toppings. After you cook and season the meat, just add everything else on top. This should take no more than 20 minutes out of your hectic college life.

Steak and Potatoes

Last, but certainly not least, you can make dorm-style steak and potatoes. This simple meal could be dressed up to resemble a fancy 5-star dish in no time. You can choose steak bites or a full steak, and potatoes, either mashed or baked. After adding your preferred seasoning and a creative veggie like asparagus, you’re left with a fulfilling, Snapchat-ready meal to end a productive school day.
