Wrapping up the 2025 campaign, the Warhawks’ softball team completed another season full of offensive firepower and strategy—this time, with a 22-home game win streak.
The Warhawks rebounded from a tough 1-6 start to ignite a 13-game win streak, beginning Feb. 8 with a 9-1 win over Jackson State. Over the 13 games, the offense exploded for double-digit runs in six games, while pitchers held opponents to two runs or fewer in eight games.
ULM finished the regular season 28-26 overall and 13-11 in the Sun Belt Conference play. Game after game, ULM won, racking up attendance and confidence until the April 26 game against Texas State. A record-breaking 1,200 people attended, and while the team lost the win streak, the night stood as a symbol of what could be.
Throughout the season, the Warhawks scored 332 runs on 485 hits, slugging 36 home runs and 79 doubles. The aggressive lineup typically saw INF Morgan Brown, OF Meagan Brown, INF Maryssa Zenzen, INF Elle Carter and INF Jacelyn Buck on the field at some point during each game.
Despite going into the end of the season with a four-game slide, including the streak-breaker against Texas State, the team proved not only to themselves but also to the crowd exactly what they are capable of.
Another season goes by, and new members will join the program in the fall of 2025. Fans can look forward to future games with new players by checking the ULM Athletics website for more information.
