The ULM women’s volleyball team has been performing well this season, as evidenced by their record of (9-5). In September, the Warhawks have a winning percentage of 63.64, having won 7 games and lost 4. A major reason for their winning percentage rising is the fact that they went on a four-game winning streak. When defending home court this season, the Warhawks are sitting at a dominant 3-0, at neutral sites they are sitting at 4-2, and for away games at 2-3.
Freshman Aniya Hall (6) holds up the offensive side of the ULM women’s volleyball team, who leads the team in kills with 215. She is not the only player on the team helping on the offensive side of the ball. Junior Morgan Howard (15) leads the team in assists (312) and service aces (31). On the defensive side is junior Kenzie Behl, who leads the team with 41 blocks. As for the playmaking side red-shirt junior Briana Raney leads the team in digs with 160.
In their latest game of the season, the Warhawks fell 3-2 in a loss against Sam Houston, putting a stop to their four-game winning streak. The team was led in kills by Freshman Aniya Hall (6) with 22, assists by sophomore Morgan Howard with 22 and digs by Raney.
The team is having a strong showing in nonconference play. We can expect them to have a fantastic year going forward in conference play. Be sure to cheer on your volleyball team with their next match against South Alabama on Oct. 3.
