In game one of the double header against Arkansas, both pitchers were dialed in. It took every inning to decide this one, but ultimately the Razorbacks took home the win with a walk-off single. ULM Tiffany Mills pitched her seventh complete game but took home the 1-0 loss. Only four Warhawks were able to get a hit off Arkansas’ Kim Jones.
The Warhawks started the night off right as they were up by three runs heading into the fifth inning before Mother Nature brought the rain, and the game was called.
ULM then traveled to Lake Charles to take on in-state foe McNeese State for their final road game of the regular season. The Warhawks found themselves in extra innings, and in the end the Warhawks came out on top of the Cowgirls 3-2 in nine innings of play.
Brianna Love led all batters in the win going 2-4 while Tiffany Mills picked up the win and her second straight complete game performance. Jessica Chastka joined the fun as she picked up her fifth win of the season in a 6-1 victory against the Alcorn State Braves (15-31) back home in Monroe.
This game was special for Warhawk Brianna Love. Love, hit her 15th home run of the season, breaking former ULM star and hall of famer Lori Tande’s record
Roxy Cassel, Melissa Rivera and Samantha Riojas also batted in runners for the Warhawks. With this win, ULM improves their record to 27-23 with three games remaining.
