Head coach Todd Berry announced Tuesday that sophomore cornerback Otis Peterson is expected to miss six weeks after having surgery on his right arm on Monday. This news comes two days after Berry announced the starters for the season.
“Otis sustained the injury early in camp and following further evaluation it was determined that surgery would be required,” Berry said.
Peterson will be replaced by redshirt freshman Rob’Donovan Lewis. Lewis has been filling in for Peterson since the injury and will take over the starting responsibilities. Redshirt freshman Trevor Dillard will move from safety to become the number two cornerback, behind Lewis.
