Soccer head coach Stacy Lamb resigned on Tuesday, after suffering a second-consecutive winless Sun Belt Conference season.
Lamb joined the program in 1999, and took over coaching duties in 2001 when she also was name Southland Conference Coach of the Year.
“First I’m just going to breathe,” Lamb said. “ULM has been great to me, but now I’m going to refocus and find a new direction.”
She said, “I’m confident I did my job to the best of my ability, and I will hold my head high knowing that.”
ULM athletic director Bobby Staub said, “We appreciate the contributions Lamb has made for the program and community for the past 12 years.”
Lamb will continue to serve on ULM’s Staff Senate and she said she is grateful for that opportunity.
