Volleyball coach Ernest Vasquez released freshman Erica Pritchett from the team, according to a statement given by Pritchett to the Hawkeye.
“I’m not going to let this stop me from playing ball,” Pritchett said. “I wasn’t agreeing with changing my personality to fit the team, and it caused problems.”
Vasquez denied to comment when asked about the situation.
Pritchett, from Mobile, Ala., appeared in 28 sets, a team-low.
