The University of Louisiana at Monroe volleyball team (0-6) traveled to Lake Charles over the weekend to play in the McNeese State tournament. They opened up play on Sept. 10 with Northwestern State. The Warhawks won their first set but could not hold up for the rest of the match ultimately losing, 3-1. Sept. 11 proved to be another rough day for the Warhawks as they lost 3-0 to the New Orleans Privateers on in the morning. They ended the tournament facing tournament host McNeese State later that night and losing 3-1, while senior Stephanie Wardach finished the contest with her second double-double of the season and junior Meghan McCoy ended her night with a season high 34 assists. The Warhawks travel to Kent, Ohio this Friday to play in the Kent State Mizuno Open, where they face off against Syracuse in their first game.
