Have you ever had a hard time figuring out what to wear to a job interview? What about a career fair? A business lunch or dinner? Banquet or conference? Well, you are in luck.
The department of Career Connections and the department of Student Life and Leadership will present a Business Style Show at 7 p.m. on Wednesday on the second floor of the Student Union Building. This event was created to promote the upcoming All Majors Career Fair scheduled for Oct. 13.
“Considering the competiveness of the current job market and the economic recession, students should take advantage of seeking every possible opportunity to better brand theirselves professionally in an over-crowed job market,” said Alberta Green, Associate Director of Career Connections.
Students from campus organizations will model the appropriate attire for various career events.
The show will feature six different events: interview, business lunch/dinner, sporting/charity event, banquet, conference/convention and career fair.
The students were responsible for putting together their outfits and getting them approved by Career Connections and Student Life.
Additionally, the ULM Office of Career Connections and Experiential Education is available to assist students with their resume and to help with interviewing techniques or general job attainment skills and career counseling.
Visit their office on the third floor of the library or their website, www.ulm.edu/careerconnections.
