ULM student Sylesia Howard, 19, of Shreveport, died after being the victim of a hit and run Sunday afternoon on I-20 near Ruston, La.
Howard was traveling west on I-20 when a vehicle in the right lane swerved and caused Howard to lose control of her vehicle in the left lane. Howard crossed both lanes before she hit a tree.
The unknown vehicle that caused Howard to lose control continued traveling west. The vehicle is a light colored SUV or truck. Witnesses of the incident were unable to get a license plate or description of the driver.
Those with information that could lead to the capture of the suspect should call the Louisiana State Police Troop F at 318-345-0000.
