Guy Smith was arrested on charges of domestic abuse battery and unauthorized entry of an inhabited dwelling on Jan. 17. He’s not a student.
A student reported that Smith had broken into her apartment on Bon Aire Dr. and taken several items. The student had filed a report against Smith the previous day for battery.
ULM Police attempted to contact Smith at his job at Wendy’s. Although Smith was not at his workplace when police arrived, he turned himself in later that day.
Smith confessed to breaking into the student’s apartment using a Kay Jewelers’ card. Smith was banned from ULM campus indefinitely.
Police transported Smith to Ouachita Parish Correctional Center where he was booked for domestic abuse battery and unauthorized entry of an inhabited dwelling.
