Water Wars ripped waves through Bayou Park. The event had three inflatables.

The first was a water balloon sling shot.

Opponents got into cages to launch balloons and get their opponents wet.

There was also a waterslide.

Students climbed up the steps and slid down into a little pool of water. A lot of students enjoyed sitting in the pool talking with friends.

Next was a racing slide. Students went up two at a time and slid down to see who would get to the bottom faster.

Gabriel Williams participated in the water games.

The sophomore aviation major battled his friend in the water balloon launch and the racing slide.

“It was nice to have a water day and fun on a Tuesday here at ULM,” Williams said.

Not many students participated, but the ones that did, came with swimsuits, oversized t-shirts and beach towels. Students challenged each other to race. They sat and socialized in the water and took a lot of Snapchat videos of the fun.

Kona Ice also came as the event was going on.

This attracted more students over to Bayou Park.

Justin Gray, a freshman computer science major, participated in the water wars.

“The water inflatables were fun. This is my first spring fever week at a college, so it was cool. Also, getting snowballs was a nice treat after playing in the water,” Gray said.
