NYITCOM has been granted license for ULM location

The New York Institute of Technology College of Osteopathic Medicine received license by the Board of Regents that will allow the institute to operate a medical school at The University of Louisiana Monroe.

The announcement came yesterday with a post on Twitter by ULM president, Nick Bruno.

The New York Institute of Technology (NYIT)  submitted an application to operate a College of Osteopathic Medicine at ULM.

NYIT is a private, nonprofit institution of higher education with campuses in New York and Arkansas.

According to a statement from ULM, “NYIT and ULM have a non-binding Memorandum of Understanding through which the two entities are exploring establishing a Monroe site of New York Institute of Technology College of Osteopathic Medicine on the ULM campus.”

The Hawkeye will update as more information is released.
