The ULM women’s golf team had a great showing at the ORU Shootout in Tulsa, Okla. on Tuesday, Sept 26.

Out of 17 teams, the Warhawks finished ninth (310-308-308-926, +62) behind some strong performances by sophomore Shani White and junior Olivia Landberg.

This marks the second straight top-10 finish for ULM since opening the fall schedule.

They also placed seventh out of 15 teams in the MSU/Payne Stewart Memorial in Springfield, Mo.

“We had another consistent round below 310. We came out of the gate strong and took care of holes that we really struggled with yesterday. We are beginning to make more birdies and pars. Unfortunately, we struggled to finish the round, and again had some big numbers that set us back,” said head coach Joni Stephens.

Landberg finished tied 36th after climbing 13 spots.

She shot a 1-over-par 37 with six pars and one birdie.

White posted 2-over-par 74 in the third round. She finished with six pars and eight birdies.

“I was really proud to see Shani earn her second top-five finish of the fall,” Stephens said.

“She has been exhibiting great composure and attitude during competition.”

The Warhawks will be back on the fairway in the F&M Bank APSU Intercollegiate Oct. 2-3 in Clarksville, Tenn.
