FANT-EWING COLISEUM – The ULM Warhawks (9-10, 3-3 SBC) defeated North Texas’ Mean Green (5-15, 2-5 SBC) Thursday evening by a score of 76-65 to snap a 4-game losing streak by the Warhawks. Sannisha Williams had her fourth double-double of the night, and the Warhawks had their biggest lead of the night at 54-36. Leading the Mean Green on the night was Denetra Kellum, with 19 points on the court. For the men’s team (6-14, 1-5 SBC), the matchup against the No. 19 Mean Green (15-4, 4-2 SBC) played out on the court as it did on the paper. Trailing by 6 at the half, the Warhawks fell in the end to North Texas by a score of 79-62.
Both teams will travel to face in-state conference rival UL-Lafayette on Saturday, with the tipoff for the women at 5 PM, and mens at 7 PM.
