4 smoothies to satisfy your cravings

It’s too hot? Get a smoothie. Want to brighten up your Instagram feeds? Take a picture of a smoothie. Running late for class, but haven’t had breakfast? Make a smoothie.  Having a bad day? Drink a smoothie.  Want to improve your immune system, but don’t like vegetables? Make a smoothie with fruits you like. No matter what the problem is, a smoothie is the answer.  Although the previous statement is an exaggeration, many of us could agree that smoothies are one of the easiest ways to happiness. Here are a few smoothie ideas to try when your cravings become too much.

Green Smoothie:

If you are looking for a vegetarian smoothie recipe, this is it!  This smoothie is packed with vegetables, beneficial fats and is so tasty that you will never look at vegetables the same way again.

For this recipe, you just need half a cup of avocado, half a cup of cucumbers, two handfuls of spinach, one cup of almond milk, 1/8 cup of walnut and half a cup of ice. First, mix almond milk and spinach in the blender. Then, add everything except ice and blend it. At last, add ice and mix it again.

Orange Smoothie:

This is a dairy-free orange smoothie. So, all my lacto-vegetarian friends, this is especially for you!

This quick smoothie recipe will brighten and refresh your day.  This smoothie is packed with two peeled frozen oranges, a splash of vanilla extract, one cup of coconut milk and half a cup of ice cubes.

First, blend all the ingredients except the ice cubes into a high-powdered blender. Then, add ice cubes in the blender and blend it again.

There you go, your citrusy treat is ready for you!

Pumpkin Smoothie:

This smoothie doesn’t contain any fruits. This is especially for those smoothie lovers who love smoothies, but are bored of putting the same fruits.

For this recipe, you will need one cup of frozen pumpkin puree, half a cup of frozen cauliflower florets, one cup of almond milk, three tablespoons of honey, a pinch of salt and 1/4 cinnamon.

Combine all the ingredients in a blender and blend until it’s creamy. Add around half a cup of cold water as needed to get the blender going.

Top with chopped raisins and enjoy!

Triple Berry Smoothie:

The triple berry smoothie has been one of the easiest and tastiest smoothies in for a long time and no one sees it leaving that position.

Just drop one cup of frozen berry mixture, one tablespoon of almond butter, one half banana, 1/3 cup of coconut milk, 1/8 cup of chia seeds and 1/8 cup of dark chocolate chips into a blender and mix it.

Then, add half a cup of ice into the blender and blend it one last time.

Now you’re done, so drink!
