WARHAWK FIELD – The ULM Warhawks (15-11, 4-5 SBC) are tied with Nicholls State (16-14, 6-6 SBC) by a score of 6-5, in an inner-state match, at the top of the eighth inning.
Nicholls State scored in the top of the third to put the Colonels up 1-0. However, a home run by Nicholls tacked on three to the game, putting them up 4-0. The Warhawks then scored on a hit, putting them up 1-4.
With a huge fourth inning, the Warhawks scored four runs, putting the lead to 5-4.
In the fifth inning, the Colonels scored with a solo home-run by Lee Orr to tie ULM, 5-5, but the Hawks came back and scored a run to make it 6-5.
The Warhawks finished off the sixth inning with four runs to make the game 10-5. The Hawks seemed to have found a sweet spot in the left field, as three of the hits were in that direction.
