Viet House home to many great meals
After entering Viet House and settling in, I ordered what I had been eyeing since looking at the online menu a few days earlier, tiger boba—a brown sugar flavored milk tea with tapioca boba. To go with it, I ordered beef ramen. I was intrigued after seeing the three spice levels they offered, and I chose the spiciest option—Dragon’s Breath—to see if I could handle it.
Our drinks came out first. I was very pleased with the flavor and quick delivery. The tiger boba was very sweet and delicious. The ramen, which I had previously regarded as expensive looking at the menu, exceeded my expectations in size. The $15 bowl was well worth it in quantity. The staff delivered my food to the table with sriracha sauce and chili flakes. I started with the eggs in my ramen, which were very delicious with soft, melted yolks in the center. As for the meat and rest of the ramen, I thought it was tasty but not very spicy. My grandmother, who came with us, thought it was very spicy, and Ad did too. Thankfully for me though, I could add chili flakes and sriracha to the broth to make it appropriately spicy, which I did and was very satisfied by.

Do NOT listen to Kerrigan, that soup was glowing red. The service was quick and polite, and the decor made the restaurant very cozy. Even better, they offer free Wi-Fi, which makes it a good place to study while enjoying a sweet treat. Both their peach and dragon lemonades are sweet without tasting artificial, which can sometimes happen with flavored lemonades. Most drinks are around $7 to $8.
The pho, both beef and seafood, are delicious and perfect soups for when you are feeling under the weather. The portions are enough to eat for two or three meals depending on the person. The food seemed very authentic; the menu offered a wide variety of options.
The atmosphere of the restaurant is very comfortable. The wall of windows can be a little overwhelming when you are sitting directly in front of them, but it also provides a beautiful golden light once the sun gets past that point. The light ended up being great for taking photos of our food at the table. The restaurant is on the smaller side, which could make patrons feel crowded during rush hour. However, we visited during a slower period, which made the eatery feel more cozy than cramped. The staff were very friendly. Overall, Viet House is more than worth visiting.
