ULM will welcome political performer, author, playwright and activist Rachel Hastings, who uses performance as a way to promote historical preservation of African and Eastern cultures at 7 p.m. Tuesday.
Hastings will perform her popular program, “Seven,” for ULM students and the public, free of charge at ULM’s Brown Auditorium.
Hastings is being sponsored as the Traveling Scholar for ULM Speech and Debate.
According to Hastings, “‘Seven’ uses Black philosophy to examine genealogical experiences of motherhood, infidelity and sexual practices, as well as offers theories drawn from the canon of Black ideas.”
