WARHAWK FIELD – The ULM Warhawks (13-6, 2-1 SBC) dominated over the Golden Eagles of Southern Mississippi (15-4, 0-0 C-USA) by a score of 7-2 Tuesday night.

After an uneventful first inning, the Warhawks came out and scored five runs by Les Aulds, Jordy Poche, Caleb Knox, Matt Laird, and Jeremy Sy.

In the fifth inning, the Warhawks scored on a botched pitch by Jackson Posey, with Judd Edwards making the score.

In the seventh, the Golden Eagles came out and scored two runs by Ashley Graeter and Chase Fowler.

In the eighth inning, the Warhawks scored a run thanks to Jeremy Sy’s second score of the game.

With the win, ULM snaps Southern Miss’ 7-game winning streak, and the first victory against a ranked team this season. The Warhawks return to Warhawk Field Wednesday night against Northwestern State at 6 PM for an in-state matchup.
