University issues statement on election glitches

The University has issued a statement regarding the possible invalid elections.

As first reported by the Hawkeye, SGA announced in last night’s meeting multiple elections my have to be redone because of glitches in the voting system. The referendum elections could be among those voided.

Wayne Brumfield, vice president of Student Affairs, issued the following statement Wednesday:

“ULM’s Student Government Association immediately responded to several accounts of technical difficulties with the online election system. During an official meeting Tuesday evening, the SGA voted to postpone the run-off election system—originally slated for April 25—until May 2 and May 3. I applaud SGA’s diligence and professionalism regarding this matter.

SGA, along with ULM’s administration, will continue to work with the Computing Center in determining how the technical difficulties may have affected this election.”

So does that mean they are doing to the elections for both the officers and the referendums over again?
