The Northeast Louisiana’s food bank is always accepting donations or volunteers and last week it got just that.
Theta Zeta members of Alpha Kappa Alpha, Inc. stood under the SUB ballroom overhang during their can-food drive Wednesday. Students approached the table with nonperishable cans.
Jazmine Walton, the chapter’s president, said the event was successful and she was thankful to everyone who donated.
The organization collected almost one hundred cans for the food bank.
Their contributions did not stop there.
The organization went back to the food bank to help stuff over 900 bags with food and living supplies along with other on-campus organizations.
