September 13, 2021
Jessica Lasiter was chosen last week for the Spring 2021 Outstanding Faculty Award by the School of Allied Health.
Lasiter is an associate professor and the director of medical laboratory science.
She came to ULM in 2010 after working at Rapides Regional Medical Center as a compliance coordinator.
The factors taken into account when choosing Lasiter for the award included teaching effectiveness, professional development and service to the community.
Donald Simpson, dean of the College of Health Sciences, said Lasiter gives her students experiences that aren’t available anywhere else.
“She provides the comprehensive didactic and hands-on clinical practice that assures success for our graduates in the field of pathology and laboratory medicine,” Simpson said.
