University: Referendums unaffected by computer glitches

University officials have concluded an investigation into the election glitches and have found no referendums were effected.

The University released its finding Friday afternoon in a press release.

The SGA election commission has determined, however, several officer elections will have to hold runoffs on Thursday. The runoffs are as follows:

SGA Secretary between: Jana Robinson and Clayton Branton
SGA Treasurer between: Clinton Branton and Samantha Craig
Education and Human Development Senators: Colten Bernstein, Haley Alford, and Lindsey Dartlon
Pharmacy Senators: Alex Bourgeois and Dylan Leblanc
Arts and Science Senators:  Allison Friloux, Benjamin Stokes, and Emily Benton

“I appreciate the diligence of the Computing Center staff, all of whom worked tirelessly to ensure the integrity of the student government election process. I also appreciate the prompt efforts of the Student Government Association for addressing issues brought forth during and after the election,” said the statement by Wayne Brumfield, vice president of Student Affairs.

A full report will be in Monday’s Hawkeye.
