College Choice, a university ranking site, recently published its list for the “Best Online Master’s in Educational Counseling,” and ULM has come in at No. 21.

ULM has two different programs for an online Master’s in Counseling. They are the Clinical Mental Health Counseling program and the School Counseling program.

Students even have the option to specialize in both counseling programs, which creates more career opportunities after graduation.

Future jobs in this field include: group facilitator, addiction counselor, art therapist, rehabilitation counselor, life coach and school administrator… just to name a few.

Quality, reputation, affordability, value and satisfaction were all factors taken into account by College Choice when making the list.

“The University of Louisiana at Monroe earns one of the biggest merit badges for affordability as the most inexpensive school on our list. Tuition at ULM comes in below $10,000, making an advanced degree an accessible option,” said the site on the rankings.

According to the ULM website, “The University of Louisiana at Monroe is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) to award associate, baccalaureate, masters, specialist, and doctorate degrees.”

The university offers over 30 online degree programs and works to keep education accessible and affordable for everyone.

Earlier this Spring, ULM’s online degree program ranked 58 out of 100 on the “Best Online Colleges for 2018-19” list created by thebestschools.org. The Best Schools is a site dedicated to informing students interested in pursuing some form of higher education about their options.
