Homecoming overrules haunted house on campus

The ULM haunted house has been ghost busted.

Last year’s popular attraction will not be repeated this year because the Greeks are focusing on Homecoming instead, according the Keith Hembree, coordinator of Greek Life.

Hembree went on to say the future of the attraction looked bleak because of competition from the Evil Visions haunted house on Desiard Street. But, Hebree did not rule it out altogether.

“I am not sure if we will do one again or not, it will depend on what the Greeks would like to do,” Hembree said.

Laurice Blake, a senior computer information and networking system major from Monroe, said she understands why they are not having a haunted house. but she is still disappointed by the decision.

“I am a little sad that they aren’t doing a haunt with it being so close to Homecoming and its theme, a carnival theme house would have been great! But. I can understand the reasoning why,” she said.

So while ULM won’t be having a haunted house this year, there are still other things to look forward to like the Halloween Ball on the 27th.
