Warhawks fly high in Azalea City Classic

Cross-country in it’s meet last Friday at the Azalea City Classic.

The Warhawk cross- country team placed third (67 points) in the Azalea City Classic on Friday Sept. 8. ULL (26) and South Alabama (35) finished ahead of ULM.

The women took fourth behind South Alabama, ULL and Alabama State.

On the men’s side there were two top-10 finishers in the 6k race. Sophomore Kipkirui Victor came in seventh place followed by junior Elias Keter, who came in 10th.

For the Warhawks on the women’s side, sophomores Edith Jebet (11th) and Angela Jepchirchir (12th) finished outside the top 10 in the 5k race.

The ULM cross-country team will be back on the course Saturday, Sept. 16, at the annual Moo Triple-Duals, hosted by Louisiana Tech.
